Carlos "Tito" Afú won the 7-1 circuit election held Sunday, November 16, in Los Santos.

He received 14,358 votes, defeating PRD candidate Ovidio Díaz, who received 13,940 votes and Molirena candidate Sergio Ivan Diaz, who received 491 votes.

Today was a partial election, as just 4,530 people were eligible to vote. Today's totals were added to CD CANDIDATE those from the May 4 election in districts where the results were not voided.

Voting closed at 4 p.m. and a board of scrutiny examined the ballots at the Manuel María Tejada Roca School in Las Tablas reports La Prensa.

Díaz was ahead going into Sunday’s election, with 12,576 votes to 11,946 for Afú, but the CD candidate dominated at the polls.
