JUST TWO weeks to go before the fifth annual Carols by Candlelight charity concert  at the  Mirador Del Pacifico amphitheater (at the fish market end of the Cinta Costera) on Saturday December 12, starting at 6.30 pm.

Some 50% of available reserved seats are already spoken for, including over 30 ambassadorsand goverment offficials.

Organized by the CanadaPLUS Foundation (formerly  CanadaPLUS Club), the event provides  the audience  with  outstanding performances of Christmas traditional melodies by some of Panama City’s leading choral groups plus the opportunity to join in the singing of selected carols as they wave their souvenir candles.

This year, G Hamony, a much loved and recorded quartet will return to the stage, along with King’’s College, Panama Coro de Opera  and Coro JP2.

They will be joined by a choir traveling from Chiriqui:  Polifonico Universitario “A Viva Voz”

Over 15,000  bilingual carols books have already been distributed in major outlets across the city, including Felipe Motta , Arrocha and Crepes and Waffles.

The concert is FREE   for those who wish to sit on the perimeter of the amphitheater, and they can obtain souvenir led candles at the event.

Those who want a more comfortable perch, nearer the stage, can obtain reserved seats and a candle, at $15 silver, $20 Gold and $25 VIP.

Souvenir candles are available at $5 and $10.  Funds raised go to Vision of Hope, an expat group teaching the blind to make jewelry, earn a living, and become a functioning part of the community.

SANTA CLAUS
Santa Claus and his helpers will be there for photo ops at the foot of the decorated Canadian pine tree donated by the Canadian Embassy.

Your seat number will be on the candle, and all orders will be delivered, along with song books to your home or office.

If you are looking for a Mothers’ Day Gift, or an early Christmas gift, a pair of seats at the event would be a good start.
