A SEVEN HOURS  court hearing of a former director of the National Security Council for alleged injuries to a journalist  has been adjourned until September 28.

The tenth deputy judge Viviana Aguilar decided to adjourn the hearing of   the case of against Alexandro Garuz for the alleged crime of personal injuries against the secretary general of the Union of Journalists of Panama, Philemon Medina The incident happened when she Medina went to the entrance of the National Security Council in Quarry Heights, Ancon, to defend Medina went to the entrance of the National Security Council in Quarry Heights in Ancon, to defend the TVN journalist Elizabeth Gonzalez and cameraman, Bolívar Jurado (now deceased who were held for more than two hours in July 2013  to after filming at the site, later identified as the HQ for the Martinelli era wire tapping campaign.

According to Ismael Jaramillo, a lawyer for Medina, they were beaten and handcuffed by the National Institutional Protection Service (SPI). Garuz is in preventive detention facing other charges.
