Another PAN boss facing multi-million dollars embezzlement charges

ANOTHER former director of the National Assistance Program (PAN)  will be facing charges of embezzlement within the formal investigation being conducted by the Second Anticorruption Prosecutor Lizzett Chevalier.

The case against Giacomo Tamburrelli  relates to the purchase of about $60 million from Brazil dehydrated food sources confirmed the jprosecutor’s office.

The investigation n showed that in the purchase was "overrun" and that Tamburrelli authorized payments of millions knowing that it was for expired food and waste glass.

The company favored in this business is Lerkshore International Limited, whose representative is Ruben De Ycaza Arias, who will face charges for the alleged crime of fraud.

On December 7, 2010, this company was awarded a $45 million contract to provide dehydrated foods public schools across the country foods.

After signing the contract, the company received an advance of $ 15 million.

Chevalier will also be inquiring this  this week about signatories of bank accounts and legal representatives of the companies linked with fellow former director of PAN Rafael Guardia Jaen, who is currently held in a cell  at the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ).
