Another former president called to testify before prosecutor

A second former president of Panama to be questioned under the Martinelli administration has been called to testify in the corruption investigation into alleged bribes paid to legislators by a developer in 2002.

Judge Alexander Moncada Moon, who is acting as  prosecutor in the case which is focused on alleged payments made by the developer of the Cemis development in Colón, ordered Martin Torrijos to testify.
The other former leader is Ernesto Pérez Balladares, charged with money laundering.
Attempts to serve the notice of the order as on Torrijos were unsucceful as he is visiting Paraguay.
Ana Bouche, the official responsible for delivering the notice to the former president, said it must be handed to him in person
