ALERT: Possibly contaminated tuna in Panama

THE SALE of Bumble Bee tuna in oil and water  has been temporarily banned by  Panama’s Food Safety  Authority (AUPSA) has due to possible  contamination.

The order was when on Friday morning March 17, a shipment of possibly contaminated cans was located at a Panamanian port,  after the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) detected flaws in the sterilization process in cans produced last month.

"In case people have the product in question, they should refrain from consuming it," the agency warned.
