AN EARTHQUAKE measuring 6.7 degrees on the Richter scale, at 1.35 am on Tuesday, May 13, woke residents and sent many in Puerto Armuelles, Chiriqui running from their homes.

The Institute of Geosciences of the University of Panama, said the epicenter of the quake was located 128 kilometers southeast of Punta Burica,in the Baru district, of Chiriquí.

No damage or injuries were reported but The National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) began monitoring the area,
