Three people died instantly and fourth is in critical condition after a Mini Cooper plunged from a third-floor parking space in an apartment complex on Wednesday afternoon  March 28.

The accident was in P.H. Breeze in Costa del Este and was witnessed by passers-by.

Units of the Panama Fire Department and the National police were called to the scene  and the severely injured person was rescued  from the flattened  overturned car by firemen and  transferred by personnel from the Prehospital Medical Care Service of the Panama Fire Department to a  nearby  medical center

The causes of the accident are unknown.

Colonel Jaime Villar, director of the Panama Fire Department said:  "The levels are made so that the vehicles are parked and with bars so that accidents are avoided. Investigations will determine what happened.” The Public Ministry and police are studying surveillance cameras.
