PANAMA’S TRAFFIC torture , especially for those traveling to or from the West is going to become more painful for the next 10 months following a Ministry of Public Works announcement that starting this Saturday August 29 they will be performing intermittent closures of the Bridge of the Americas for the whole of that period.
Work on an extensive rehabilitation has been dragging and will be extended until June 2016
The Ministry advises drivers to use the Centennial Bridge or the Omar Torrijos Avenue . The work includes reinforcement of the slabrolling, paint, hardware changes, among others, "says a statement from theinstitution.
