A DRAFT law that will allow drivers to choose the company to tow their cars has been presented by deputy Leandro Avila
The deputy says that the move  has been triggered by complaints from hundreds of drivers who object to the Transit Authority (ATTT) picking the company to take their cars.
The draft also says that at the time of a collision the vehicle of a driver who has an expired or unpaid insurance policy will be seized until e responsibility for the damage is determined
"I request the Transport Committee of the Assembly to discuss this as quickly as possible “ Avila said.
ATTT Director Julio Gonzalez says the body is also working to eliminate excess gouging by tow operators by establishing a schedule of prices ranging from $75 to $340.
