THE PANAMA ESCAPE hole of former Colombian spy chief María del Pilar Hurtado will soon be closed and she will be heading back to Bogota to face justice. In addition to espionage,  Pilar Hurtado former director of the defunct Administrative Service (DAS) is accused in Colombia of aggravated conspiracy, unlawful communication and abuse of public office, for spying on opponents during the government of Alvaro Uribe (2002-2010), while serving as head of the DAS..

 Panama will comply with her deportation said Vice President of the, Isabel de Saint Malo de Alvarado, Sunday September 7, during on TVN.
Hurtado’s political asylum, was granted in 2010, during the government of former President Ricardo Martinelli, but was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, earlier this year.
She emphasized that the government of President Juan Carlos Varela "recognizes the justice system in Colombia and the efforts of President (Juan Manuel) Santos because the justice system works."
"Panama is going to meet all legal standards and a foreigner who does not have a valid passport cannot regularize their status in the country," she said.
