Following up on it’s announcement that 20 diet products containing sibutramine will be pulled from Panama store shelves , the Ministry of Health (MOH) has issued a partial list.

Sibutramine is a substance that could cause cardiovascular problems, even death/.Products containing it have been withdrawn from the market across the world. 

Medications to be removed from the local market include : Vintix capsules, 10mg Obestat capsules, Plenty capsules, Reductimax capsules. Norkilos, Calox sibutramine, Betagen, Mesura, Controlex, Sibutramine Genf, Ipogras, Lowex, and Raductil.
Panamanian health officials warned on Monday sibutramine, used in the manufacturing of at least 20 weight-loss products sold in Panama, may cause heart problems and strokes in patients.
