MoH dengue alert in Pacora

A HEALTH ALERT has been issued for the Las Garzas, district of Pacora, where at least 36 cases of dengue have been recorded in the last 15 days. says the Department of Epidemiology,

The Ministry of Health (MoH), which issued the alert, says that there were 582 cases of dengue in the country until last week. The disease is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

In the Metropolitan Health Region of Panama Torick Arce, reported that the rate of infestation in this area is 4.7% and this year there have been 145 cases.

MoH reports show that in 2013 there were 4,781 people with dengue, and last year there were 5,517 cases.
