On the town with Dra. Lourdes Quijada
Panama’s biggest and most successful wine festival is back
When Felippe Motta moved their annual wine festival to the Mirimar Continental Hotel last year, it became not only to enlarge your knowledge of old and new vintages from around the world, but also a place to be seen or to people watch.
This year it is set for Thursday and Friday Oct 21-22 and will be attended by a record 37 wine producers.
In alphatbetical order that will bring together forty experts frm Argentina, Australis, California, Chile, France, Germany. Italy and Spain. They will guide you through a tasting experience of 177 different wines. If that’s a daunting prospect cheer up. You have two days to make the rounds but, if you are one who likes to swallow not just taste you could end up needing medical assistance.
The event runs from 4 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. each day and is a truly win win situation. When you have finished sampling your ticket can be used to purchase its value in wine at a Felippe Motta store.
When was the last time you had a night on the town at no cost?
Tickets can be purchased for $20 at a Felippe Motta outlet until October 20, or for $25 at the door.
I’ll see you there.{jathumbnail off}
