THE NATIONAL police seized nearly $1.5 million in cash along with vehicles and weapons in a series of raids across the country on Wednesday March 9.

In Brisas del Golf, in Panama City officersseized $1 million in cash and two vehicles. A Panamanian citizen was arrested.

Meanwhile  police in Chiriquí seized a van with $90,000 inside and a  Colombian man was detained.

Hours later, at the same checkpoint, police found $315,000 hidden in another vehicle. A Panamanian citizen was arrested in that case.

In Chepo, police seized 25 kilograms of cocaine, six assault rifles and two bulletproof vests.
