High temperatures in the Caribbean Sea are killing marine invertebrates and producing a high degree of coral bleaching warn scientists with the Panama based Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute.

The bleaching comes two months after the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration of the United States issued a warning about high ocean temperatures.
