Panama player scores deciding goal in MLS final

PANAMANIAN  Roman Torres scored the deciding penalty on Saturday Dec. 10 to give the Seattle Sounders victory over Toronto  in the Major League Soccer (MLS) championship final.

Seattle won on penalties 5-­4 over Toronto after the two teams failed to score in 120 minutes of regulation and overtime.

Torres becomes the second Panamanian to win an MLS title. Jaime Penedo won a title with the LA Galaxy in 2014.

Torres won four titles in Colombia with three  different teams.

Panama's Armando Cooper, was playing for Toronto but left the game in the second half.
