Bolt slams door on Edward in London

PANAMA’S track and field Olympic medal hope, Alonso Edward came second to Jamaican sprinter  Usain Bolt in a Diamond League 200 meter event in London on Friday, July 22.

Bolt, with his long strides took the lead from  the start of the race and clocked a time of 19.89 seconds, Edwards  clocked 20.04 and British sprinter Adan Gemill came in third with 20.07.

The test served as a thermometer for the, where Bolt and Edward meet  again at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. Edward, the reigning Diamond League champion   is currently atop the League’s 200 meter 2016 table.
