Great Expectations indeed. The Theatre Guild of Ancon will kick off its 60 years of memorable performances with an adaptation of the Charles Dickens’ classic.

Regarded by many critics as the best of his numerous novels, the book starts with a memorable scene in the marshesbordering the Thames river, near the hulks that housed thousands of prisoners in the Victorian era.
If you know the book, and even if you don’t, the Guild is offering you a chance to bring it to life and help you expose your acting talents.
So whether you are a youngster wanting to play Pip, fancy yourself as an escaped convict, or the disillusioned Miss Havisham, this is your opportunity.
Open auditions will be held in week for for eight male and four female actors, including two juniors .
The dates are Wednesday February 24 – 6:30 p.m. to 8:30pm; Friday February 26 – 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday Febuary 27– 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The play will be presented over six performances on April 22-24, 29-30 and May 1.
Prior acting experience is not essential, but helpful.
Very-good-to-excellent English is required, since all performances will be in English.
