 On the Town

Drive around Panama on any day of the week and you will be sure to see a Barcelona or Real Madrid football (soccer) badge, on the back of a car or as a vanity plate with the driver possibly wearing a team shirt further emphasizing his, or her, support.

If anyone turns up at Oldies on Saturday wearing either team shirt to see the TV coverage of the two soccer giants battling it for the top spot in the Spanish league, they will be able to get their half-time suds for only $1.
Those who celebrated Barcelona’s stunning defeat of Arsenal this week, putting them in the Champion’s League semi final will be watching Lionel Messi who scored all four goals for Barc. But Ronaldo for Real Madrid will be another to watch. The game will be on all 46 screens.
But if you are not into soccer you might enjoy the introduction of live music to the place that is renowned for its multi screen video presentation of Golden oldies from the 60’s through 80’s.
On Friday Apl 9, The Rossa Negra rock group will make their debut, and on Saturday Apl 10 it will be the turn of Undercover.

 Both performances start at 10 p.m. when Panama is just waking up. {jathumbnail off}
