Free concert marks Orchestra anniversary  

THE NATIONAL Symphony Orchestra will continue its 75th anniversary celebration  on  September 15 with a free concert.

The event will take place  at the Balboa Theater at 8:00 p.m.

The Concerto for double bass and orchestra by Giovanni Bottesini, will feature guest soloist Ricardo Zuniga,

Zuniga is a 31-years-old Panamanian musician of 31 who recently completed his doctorate  in bass at the  University of Texas at Austin, United States (US), under  bassist DaXun Zhang, considered one of the best in the world.

His professional musical career began at 17 with the National Symphony Orchestra.

Entry to the free concert is by ticket which can be obtained at the Symphony Orchestra officea at the Balboa Theater, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. says Panama’s Cultural Institute.

The National Symphony Orchestra began the celebration of its 75th anniversary May 27 and since then has developed a series of concerts that will run until the end of the year.
