With a month to go to Canadian Thanksgiving, over 70 percent of the tickets have already been sold for a celebration that promises to outshine even last year’s spectacular success.
Tickets Going Going ....G
The prospect is that, like the upcoming sold out Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre , those who put off making reservations will be disappointed.
Canadian Thanksgiving is one of the highlights of the year for the thriving CanadaPLUS Club, whose members from over a score of countries are treated to a regular menu of sold-out events. The “Plus” in the title means thay you don’t have to be Canadian to join.
It will be celebrated this year at the Mirimar Intercontinental Hotel with turkey and all the trimmings as a center piece of a gourmet menu, and an open bar for the first two hours. There will be entertainment provided by Opera Panama, and a lively musical quintet for dancing the hours away.
The ambassadors of the founding nations Britain and France have been invited to join the Canadian Ambassador, and the event will be used to launch the sale and distribution of LED candles for the upcoming Carols by Candlelight Festival in Panama Pacifico. There will be door prizes and the chance to win return tickets for two to Toronto, donated by Copa Airlines, and a hotel stay in the thriving cosmopolitan city where on the subway or buses you can tune into conversations in over 140 different languages. Funds raised during the evening will be used to stage Carols by Candlelight to aid three local charities and Santo Tomas Hospital.
The event starts at 7.30 pm with dinner at 8.
