Panama is entering a week of Musical celebration, those of us who just like to sit back and enjoy, and for students and teachers.
Cinema’s in Panama were packed with Harry Potter fans on Saturday, and Sunday for the final Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

After a string of successful events, including a Royal Wedding party and a Canada Day celebration the CanadaPLUS Club is introducing a goulash pub night for August., and planning ahead for Thanksgiving.
The July 1 event attracted over 150 members of all nationalities including Canadian Ambassador Patricia Langan Torrell and UK Ambassador Michael (MJ) Holloway..
If your travels have taken you to Germany, you will almost certainly remember Goulash Suppa, which, with a hunk of rye bread is a tasty meal fit for a king.
Fritz Schmutte, mein host at the Rincon Aleman Restaurant on Calle 51, Panama, is going to replicate the experience for the CanadaPLUS Club “Pub Night” on Thursday August 11.
All will be welcome at a friendly get together for people of all nations starting at 7 p.m. with a two for one deal on Carlsberg lager. And if you want to sample some of the finest German beers, served by delectable Panamanian frauleins this is the place.
If you want to share in the specially prepared Goulash dinner, it will cost you only $10, but if your taste buds aren’t yearning for this taste of good living, you can still arrive, and get the chance to meet friends, old and new and win some interesting prizes.

THANKSGIVING
The Club is also planning a special Canadian Thanksgiving dinner for Saturday October 8 at the Club Union and tickets which will be limited to 120 are already on sale.
Anyone who attended the Royal Wedding party will understand what a great evening they are in for. A three course sit down dinner with turkey and all the trimmings, and some extra Canadian specialties. and enough wine with your dinner to stimulate conversation and friendships. There will be music and dancing, and some other special events which will be announced closer to the day, and a tombola with some spectacular prizes.
Again you will be able to meet old friends, expand your circle of contacts and discover what bonhomie really means.
Total attendance will be limited to 120. With 30 tickets already gone and the sale of some corporate tables in hand, early reservations are essential.
