WHILE the National Assembly is dragging its feet over allegations of Supreme Court Judges selling judgment decisions , acting Court president Harley Mitchell-– has requested an audit of the nine justices starting with himself..

Mitchell is chairman in charge of the Supreme Court, because the president Jose Ayu Prado and Vice President Luis Ramon Fabrega are in Vienna, Austria, at the signing of an agreement with the United Nations on the adversarial system.
Mitchell’s colleague on the bench, Harry Diaz, who made the allegations has asked to be the second justice to be audited
The request is contained in a note that Mitchell sent October 28, to the director of Judicial Audit Ginette Diaz. Mitchell also sent a letter to the president of the Assembly, Adolfo Valderrama, asking him to study the interview with Diaz in the KO section of La Prensa.
The acting president gave instructions for the transfer of the records in the offices of the judges.
"Determined by law, the transfer of project files from the offices of judges should be done by the General Secretariat and not by officials of the offices of the judges," said Mitchell.
Mitchell's actions came after the Citizens Alliance and the Attorneys Union clamored for an investigation after the statements given by Harry Diaz.
