AS OIL PRICES  comtinue to fall Panama has the lowest gasoline prices in Central America although critics say they  srill do not reflect the current cost of a barrel of oil.

During the month of November, the price of WTI (West Texas Intermediate) in the Gulf Coast of the United States had an average value of $75.34 per barrel, a decrease of -4.40% compared to the previous month. In recent weeks international prices of petroleum products, recorded the following changes: -5.3% in the price of a gallon of premium gas, -6.0% in the price of regular gasoline and -3 6% in the price of diesel.

Recent changes in international fuel prices are the result of reduced expectations for growth in the global economy especially in China, which plans to lower fuel demand in the remainder of the year; amid excess global supply and the absence of clear signals about whether OPEC will cut production.

The prices until November 10  are:

                 Diesel   Regular Special
Guatemala  $3.33    $3.56   $3.76
El Salvador   3.54    3.56       4.02
Honduras     3.90     4.11      4.53
Nicaragua     3.86     4.06      4.49
Costa Rica    4.41     4.99       5.25
Panama      3.22      3.25        3.69
