THE BATTLE for airline passengers in Central America is heating up with a new entrant in the low-cost flight stakes, For  $199 two people can fly Between cities in Central America.

 VECA Airlines of Salvadoran origin has started operations with flights linking San Salvador, Panama City and San Jose. 

 The airline, , started operations last week announcing their prices for flights between the capital cities of Costa Rica, El Salvador and Panama.

Tourism Minister Jose Napoleon Duarte, told Estrategiaynegocios.net that "... 'The entry of more airlines into the Salvadoran market certainly strengthens the market and has a positive impact on tourism. We hope that the flow of tourists to the country from Central America will positively increase starting from 2015 with the start of VECA's operations.'"

"... They will begin operations with two Airbus 319 aircraft with capacity for 144 passengers each and plan to have a third aircraft in 2015."
Meanwhile Copa Airlinez and AirPanama are in a price war with flights to Colombia and internally to Chiriqui. With fuel prices at their lowest level in five years, times are good for the traveling public.
