The new market of Panama, part of the Cold Chain system  intended to benefit producers and consumers is expected to be in operation late next year or in early 2014.

Construction of the market is 43% complete, said Minister of the Presidency, Roberto Henriquez on Friday October 5.
He made his statements after inspecting the local Cold Chain link, intended to streamline food distribution. The facility is being built on a 40 hectare site in Albrook on a road leading to the Centennial Bridge.
The executive secretary of the Cold Chain, Fernando Duque, said that the project will benefit one million people, including producers and consumers.
