Expo Habitat - record crowds and transactions
Capac Expo Habitat 2012 at the Atlapa convention center recorded transactions in the order of $270 million and benefits from contacts made at the fair, will accrue throughout the year.
The annoucement comes from Gabriel Diez, president of the 2012 organizing committee, marking the 25th anniversary of the event which attracted record crowds.
The promotional slogan of this year’s fair was : "We build your dreams". It featured over 400 exhibitors, including 18 banks, in an exhibit that occupied more than 18,000 suare meters and a diversity of suppliers, producers and industry professionals in the construction, real estate, banking and other sectors related to construction.
Diez said the volume of attendees from September 12 - 6, exceeded expectations, with a record 42,000 people checking in. The success of the show was attributed to the growing interest of people looking for homes and a significant increase in companies in the Business Roundtable both domestic and foreign, who through pre - arranged meetings made contacts with companies from Colombia, Canada, Spain, the United States, Uruguay, Italy, Argentina, Mexico, Costa Rica, Japan and Korea.
