The proposed sale of the land in the Colon Free Trade Zone will continue says Economy and Finance Minister Frank De Lima, although a public forum refused to endorse it.

De Lima said that consultations with various sectors will continue and eventually the project will be presented to the public to decide whether the initiative is beneficial or not.
He said that last week at a meeting of users of the zone, they were presented with the appraisals of the land. "They were also told to make their own assessments and then we will have a meeting," said De Lima. The DevelopmentCoalition refused to ebdorse the sale of the land in the Free Trade Zone and in Amador. But the government has kept to its agenda, claiming the sale was not on the list of issues sent to the forum.
